Dead ringer for an alibi,
Stuff your cheeks to crack a smile-
Stupid tactics with messed up style.

Sing the sorrow until it passes,
Drink it away in little shot glasses,
Belly up and washed ashore-
You bleed the pain away then ask for more.

Fugitive in a murder case,
Obsession shown in a beaten face,
Solid bricks still crumble under a fist-
When anger boils so deep, it begins to mock and insist.

You bawl in pain and fight back the tears,
No use in facing all your fears,
The depression begins to eat away at you-
So you adjust and make due.

Gutter minded and single handed,
You fight the war in broken bandages,
The lack of motivation and the absence of commitment,
Make you wonder where every blow hit.

Scratch every itch, pick every scab,
The answer doesn’t come from some hidden prescription lab,
Drug yourself up so you can rest in peace
And forget for a minute your ever-haunting beast. Man i can feel the steam off that one. The only question is where is the anger directed. This was a well written poem. If you ever try wrighting another like it and you should then give the anger somthing to make it take a form.
