Of waking to this world
Full of betrayal
Full of hate

I'm so tired
Of having my heart broken
Another piece torn away
Another hole added

I'm so tired
Of having my soul stripped away
No feelings inside
No place for caring

I'm so tired
Of the everyday struggle
The pain in my heart
The deep down fear

I'm so tired
Of holding it inside
Keeping back the tears

I have to agree and say that I also felt the exhuastion of emotion in this poem. Sometimes tears can cleanse you, if you'll let that wall down and let them go. I hope you find inner peace. Loved your poem. Kie

I'm left with the feeling of the unasked questions: How do you (or I, for that matter) get "untired?" How does one get past the feeling that life is just a conglomeration of drudgery, distrust, loneliness, and agony?

This seems to me a well written poem--the poem expresses much more than the words directly articulate.

I agree 100%, unfortunately i can't see it getting any better any time soon for us all, so we must keep trudging along getting the best out of this existance we can. Very expressive and simple poem, love it.
