Array ( [sid] => 41955 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Fast Foward [time] => 2004-04-05 23:39:19 [hometext] => it's about anyone who's ever noticed a friend drifting away. once all social and seemingly happy..and now distant and introverted. i feel for people. i notice things. this was just another instance. [bodytext] => hangin out on an overpass
conversation that moves too fast
never listening just nodding our heads
wishing we knew what exactly was said
we're just jealous that you're falling in love
with the street and it's eerie glow
your face you can see in the concrete
and you know
that you're lost and not found
you're lost and you love it
like a stray cat in an alley way
you show it you show it
you hate the day
and you hate the night
you love the dark
while you hate the light
but it's alright yes it's alright
just push fast foward
and wait for it to pass
just push fast foward
hope it won't last
today's not your day
tomorrow doesn't look good either
like an angel dancing in the pale moon light
i wish that you could meet her. [comments] => 2 [counter] => 145 [topic] => 16 [informant] => ConfusedPancake [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => FriendshipPoetry )

I found this to be a really nice understanding poem for your friend. You seem like a wonderful friend to have, and I liked the verses about the pressing fast forward buttons to advance all the negatives in her life.Very nice write,
