Any thoughts, have been destroyed
Sucked out by tubes, into a can
By a dark and sinister man

My eyes are dull, staring straight ahead
Like wearing blinkers, as I lie on his bed
Just an object, a slab of meat with no life
For the man, to dissect with his knife

He cuts at my wrist, but I feel no pain
Blood drips onto the sheet and starts to stain
Drills through a bone, scoops marrow out with a spoon
Puts it in a jar, labeled, to be studied soon

He cuts round my skull, my brain he removes
Feels the texture and studies the grooves
Labels it abnormal, places it on a plate
To be dissected, at a later date

It's been two hours, the man he is through
Stitches me back together and cleans me too
Puts a tag on my toe, covers me with my sheet
It's back to the chiller, for this slab of meat

i've never ever read poetry about someone describing an autopsy. so i found this really facinating. it's kind of a weird subject for poetry. but nevertheless you've managed to pull it off. job well done. it's dark and moody and quite the "ew" as remy put it. but i like it.
