Empty words from your lips spew
i hung on every word
now me left hanging on a limb
no olive branch to reach

Why two faces have i begun to see
on a pedastal i placed you
my mistake i will not remake
false you are

Shamelessly i followed like a sheep
human you are like me
flesh and bone nothing more

This was sad yet realistic. We are all human we all make mistakes it is realizing that the effort is futile that makes us wise right?

I thought this poem was really good... Kie

Here I must disagree just a little bit with Kie. I think realizing the futility of our efforts is one step towards wisdom, but not the whole way. The next step is realizing that our efforts will not make us perfect, but they still serve in helping others - understanding that our efforts have no lasting benifit for ourselves, but may make others' time easier. A sort of outlook that spends its time caring about others, and loses thought of oneself. At least, that is my concept of wisdom. Not that I'm very wise.
Excellent poem. I feel the emotion at the betrayal of trust.
Andrew

Oh Putter, I have made this same mistake with Christians I had looked up to. Have to remember that they are human just like us. That's why our focus has to be on God. Man will always fail us.

Nothing worse than that being let down especially when you put every effort into a friend/relationship a very good write.
