I am intelligent, check out my IQ
Score so high did i, nobody knew
I was that good, god i am smart
What's your score, just to compare
Promise i won't say anything, just interested, don't really care

You don't have to, you have proved your intelligence
You are a readable book, one i want to read
Your pages i can write on, you will remember me
The one who scored so low, can tear out page by page
Feeding on your insecurities, making you enraged
You cannot beat me, don’t even try
I accept you, that annoys you

The only person you are trying to beat in me is yourself
So i will play your game, to feed your insecurities and self worth
Pat the child on the head, put him to bed
Maybe then when you have beaten yourself we can be friends

You cannot see me
Who is more intelligent...........

Ouchie!

Touche!

Indeed it is true that we sometimes... well I for one at least often wear our gifts of intelligence like a mantle. I dunno for me at least I don't really flaunt it I just take it for a matter of course.. I worked hard to keep an updated vocabulary and to maintain my general knowledge because I like to be a smart aleck sometimes but mostly I like to be able to help others the "go to guy" of sorts to paraphrase the host of TechTV's Call For Help. A little childish erhaps but iot is nice to know the answers to our friend's questions...anyway just my guilty justification because sometimes I too flaunt my so called "intelligence". But I guess its a matter of taste.

Anyway...very catchy and nicely-worded write! It touches in the most raw of places.

"the beautiful flaunt their beauty, the athletic flaunt their sporting skills and bodies why can't I flaunt my intelligence... what If I try to be smart.... I am a "smart alleck" but if you flaunt your cynical posterior you expect candor...." ~ attributed to an unknown source.

the only thing i can tell you about intelligence is when i was 8 they put me in a remedial class then two years later they were telling me i was really clever Gifted even!!! so the moral of my little tale is intelligence is a matter of opinion!
bloody good poem by the way.

Very good statement. I'd rather be more intelligent in life and emotional matters than academics. Go you.

Wow silent, this was absolutely brilliant. The style, the flow, the rhyming all perfect. I am very very satisfied by this poem, I just might have to read it again to really capture everything you are saying. Great write. man you never cease to amaze me.

Are you a psych major, too? These are quite the riddles. You are certainly on a roll.
