Contemplation, obsession, singing from a different song
Broken shards to smash and shatter where my soul is kept
Voices scream in solemn silence where my soul once slept

Watching where young moonlight sits, dancing on my face
Losing feeling in my dreams, whispers call from every place
My reflection stares so deep within, can you tell apart
Ones an adult, one a child, opposites connected by a heart

Gentle whispers call to me, but i just cant seem to hear
My inner childs staring at me, calling out in fear
Ill bleed for my inner me,
Ill die by you, to set me free

Staring at this mirror, looking for to long
Calling out in solemn silence, changing my last song
Broken shards to tell me my lifes mine to keep forever
Take my child, keep him safe, this is your endeavour

Goodbye myself, im leaving you, reflections hurt to much
My soul and I, we need to be, were lost and out of touch
Ill be back, with you someday, but now i need to be
This mirrors left, within my soul, an evanescent me

Wow. First off, I have to say, well done for crafting a great poem out of a oft-penned but interesting subject. Second, excellent choice of words and rhyming. Third, this piece is able to invoke a lot of emotion and thought. Fourth, you rock. Take care. ;)

You are a natural born story teller.
You certainly have the gift of placing thoughts into poems that speak volumes in regards to your depth.
I read your poems and I envy your talent. Yet at the same time I am gloriously happy that you are blessed.

Very impressive...

Kie

*attempts to pick up jaw from floor*

You have done it again Luke. You've really become a master in the art of rhyme, and it shows here better than ever. Everything just fits together so well...

You have taken a simple subject and breathed new life into it, crafting a poem of both style and deep substance. Exceptional work, a stand-out piece indeed.

Truly,
-Dan
