Sometimes I imagine
What life will be someday
When at last I’m free from sin
And all pain has fled away

Sometimes I imagine
Awakening upon that distant shore
When this life is over
Pain and suffering gone evermore

Sometimes I imagine
A figure running excitedly toward me
At first I’m blinded by the Light
But them I begin to see

There’s a grin on His face
Laughter in His eyes
I’m taken completely aback
He smiles at my surprise

“ Welcome home my brother
“ At last, meeting face to face is sweet
“ I’ve been waiting for so long
“ Come our Father you must meet

And right behind Him
So many friends and loved ones I see
Smiles upon their faces
Waving joyously

Yes sometimes I do imagine
Let my heart dream for a while
What the day will be like
After I’ve journeyed my last mile
