I have lost and hope is gone.
I now struggle to go on.
Our discussion closed the door.
But It seems I even want you more.
But I stopped chasing you today.

I will wait for calls no more.
For entire weeks and sometimes more.
Keeping a phone right by my side,
Whether indoors or outside.
It belittles my masculine pride,
When added to all the tears I’ve cried.
I will wait for calls no more.

I will always be your friend.
But the romance I sought now ends.
I can’t go on another day.
A nervous breakdown was on the way.
The pain of waiting tortured me.
Your answer came so I set you free.
But your friend I’ll always be.

I won’t call you anymore.
You have my number still I am sure.
But I’ll pray for you each day,
My tears will flow as we drift away.
Nothing harder have I ever done.
My life’s now devoid of any sun.
My love for you was always pure.
I don’t want to do it I must say,
But I’ve stopped chasing you today.

I’ve stopped chasing you today.
I have lost and hope is gone.
I now struggle to go on.
Our discussion closed the door.
But It seems I even want you more.
But I stopped chasing you today.

I will wait for calls no more.
