Always, always on the go.
Working all day to make ends meet,
Working all night without much sleep.
Too many worries filling my head,
Filling my days with endless dread.
Not enough time to kneel and pray,
Not enough hours in the day.
Too many things filling my mind,
Forgive me, Jesus, I don’t have time.
I don’t have time to read your Word,
My eyes are tired, my vision’s blurred.
I want to please you deep inside,
Yet behind my busy life, I do hide.
I’m always, always in a hurry, I find,
Running, running out of time.
The day will come when I will go,
Seeking Heaven to and fro.
Waiting for Jesus to find my name,
Desperation fills my veins.
Carefully searching the Book of Life
He remembers, my name He didn’t write.
He only wanted me to follow Him,
But too, too busy, I have been.
If only I had given Him more of my time,
The keys to Heaven I would find.

Life keeps us busy doesn't it?
This speaks highly of your faith and devotion.
An enjoyable read.

Very nicely written...So true how we never seem to find enough time for God after all He does for us..thankfully through your poetry you bring souls closer to Him.You truly are a blessing from God himself.God bless you now and always,
