IN THE MANSIONS OF THE LORD(Peter Sprenkeler)

Where no hatreds dwell,
No need for the soul to sell,
There will be earsfor your tale to tell,
In the mansions of the Lord.

All pain will have gone,
Only a soft and gentle song,
You are at lastwhere you belong,
In the mansions of the Lord.

So many times you failed,
To His loving arms youve sailed,
His forgiveness of youwill be detailed,
In the mansions of the Lord.

Your belief in the Son,
For you a place has won,
Paradise for youhas just begun,
In the mansions of the Lord.

Earthly folly now at end,
On His mercy you can depend,
To His presenceyour spirit will attend,
In the mansions of the Lord.

Gone will be all darkness and fears,
Therell be no more daggers and spears,
Gone foreverthe shedding of tears,
In the mansions of the Lord.

You are home forever more,
Warmly welcomed at His door,
Understanding only nowwhat the struggle was for,
In the mansions of the Lord.

(This poem is based on the American Army Hymn of the same name)
