winter's woes
fall gave way to winter ardent red colors were replaced by glistening white snow the moon so demure retreats to her cloudy castle sometimes she peeks out proclaiming her moonstone glory naked trees bare their souls to silver stars so cold Demeter laments over Peresphone ravens so audacious murmur superstitions snowflakes dance around in rapture still none could ever capture them lingering memories of years past try to overcome frozen isolation long ago faerytales written on dusty parchment are read by silly dreamers intoxicated by enchanted fantasies
season is to season: winter gives way to spring glistening white snow is now replaced by warm sunshine and flowery breezes.

But I like the magic of the cold crisp air, and the promise of what lies underneath that pure white blanket of snow.
This is a beautiful poem, I see I will have another favorite to read .
Thanks for sharing. |
