Take a second to seep inside,
Take a second for a million victims,
Take a second or two to cry.

Take a second to look at the grass today,
Take a second to wander through,
Take a second to better your life,
Take a second for someone else’s too.

Take a second to invoke pandemonium
Take a second to blindly roam,
Take a second to drip essence away,
Take a second and be alone.

Take a second to stop with the hiding,
Take a second and scream in the cold,
Take a second to wonder what if I,
Take a second to break the mould.

Take a second to invent power,
Take a second for aching sores to weep,
Take a second to open eyes,
Take a second for words you want to keep.

Take a second to find that soul,
Take a second to know where to start,
Take a second and carve a name,
Take a second to break a heart.

Take a second and feel it all,
Take a second to hate and to lie,
Take a second to empty out,
Take a second to swallow pride.

Take a second to box it in,
Take a second to ring out the pain,
Take a second to take a second,
Take a second and count the days.

Take a second to hurt the world,
Take a second to visit your mind,
Take a second to lose control,
Take a second and take your time.

Take a second to prove yourself,
Take a second just once, to fail,
Take a second to show someone you can,
Take a second to be impaled.
