So beautiful in imagery
Woe is my name
As pride ebbs away
And spite reinstates itself
Forming a bloody picture
My heart is so tainted
As these tears stain my skin
And corruption leaves its stamp
Because I've danced with countless devils
Always selling a chunk of my soul
And giving into temptation
Her honeyed tongue,
And her golden seductive eyes

Cry these crystal tears
To guide me through the night
As I seek solitude
In the darkest corners of my house
Hating human contact
And despising being alone
Entertaining these dark thoughts
As I give into pain
And rot drips from my face
As I dance with these fearsome things
Letting them control my maimed mind
As I give into temptation
Her honeyed tongue,

Self-destructive thoughts
So beautiful in imagery
Woe is my name
As pride ebbs away
And spite reinstates itself

Have you ever read a poem that was so dang good that you had to sit for a moment and contemplate what kind of comment to leave? Well that is how I feel. Sometimes poems are just beyond the realm of being able to comment coherently and this one is one. It was dark, enticing, well worded, perfect flow, great imagery...Need I say more?

My new favorite of yours.

I really like this.. i think it's because it seems so honest.. and so deep.. the whole imagery of this is amazing.. i was just trying to pick out a favourite line or something, but i've decided i love it all too much to choose lol..
