So easily the game begins
A smile, a laugh, a dirty joke
Then it seems we are close friends
Messaging with speedy keystrokes
Tapping late into the night
Staccato song until daylight
I cannot sleep or eat or work
I am addicted to this jerk

What innuendo can conceal
A wolf, a snake, a slippery eel
All the while I smile serene
Posing as the cyber queen
Holding court around the clock
Typing up a smart retort
Replace the need for face to face
Encounters with the human race

When sleep at last calls me to bed
I leave the lights all blinking red
With gentle trills to wake me up
In case you need to chat me up
I am addicted to the thrill
As if it were a magic pill
We are strangers that much I know
But still I think I love you so
