[bodytext] => Daytime TV sells sex and lifelong lies
Make believe is so much better if everyone dies
Dreams consist of love an faith in an enemy
Coma induced retinal dispair in caustic blasphemy.

Tortured emotionless devoid feelings carress
When lazy devotion and coorporate relate in arrest
Sickening enveloped in the strings of a heart
That has been torn off my sleeve, left in the gutter- depart.

Visions of black lace and crimson eyes
Leave me feeling a bit less then empathized
Shallow waters kick and beat at your chest
Nightmares of drowning helplessly are some of the best.

So many colorless nights I slip off to retreat
Crying in an invisible arm of defeat
Fractiosn of stars that once glimmered in the sky
While pieces of an understanding me still ask why?

Tommorrow is too far away to see
Yesterday is lucky to still be a memory
Today is as uninviting as never neverland
Stalking this earth with less then a guiding hand.

Forget what you said to me on nights so cold
Let the clouds pass over and grab ahold
Shall I drift off to somewhere more welcoming?
Without me will anyone still be standing? [comments] => 4 [counter] => 211 [topic] => 63 [informant] => strange_lindsey [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 1 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => hbadday )

Yes, this is all too true. The illusions and fallacies pushed down our throats my media and family alike each and every day are crap--and it builds up a set of desires that real life can't possibly live up to.

This awesome poem captures that certain combination of longing and hopelessness that we get from the let-down that life really is. Incredible Lindsey.

Truly,
-Dan

Powerfully emotional. I believe you meant "love AND faith." Still, your words and rhyme do say something very intense. Cheers!
