who love this site in all they say and do
we, who were here when ypdc was founded
now its all so confounded

so many new faces from as many new places
have joined and its good; and we grow as we should
but we must all come together; home once more
so we can have this site; leaving open its door

we need you; dear members now to come home
no matter when or where you've roamed
the hearts who've kept us going strong
who made days fun and not so long

i put out this plea into the universe
that we may all have ypdc and our verse
happy times those were, and will again be
when once again we all sit under our poet-tree

we need your wisdom and thoughtfulness
when we were as one,
we were so blessed.

Really good poem. I hope that all the ones who have gone find their way back home. Back here. Until then, they'll be sorely missed.
Take care ladyfawn. Great poem, as always.

Nessa,
I dont really understand what you mean by original members but this is a great poem. It would be neat if all the members could reunite and work for the better of this site. I truly wish that we can regain that sense of peace here. Like I said earlier, great poem with an even greater message.

Ness, I only want this site to continue to grow as it has been over the past year or more. You know how much I love this site. My only wish is that it stays...

Amen, Nessa. I have to agree whole-heartedly. This place will never be the same without some of the people who left. And I'm afraid it's going to change everything for me if some of my favorites who are still planning to leave over this do. For Mick, we should all put it behind us and move ahead, back into a great peaceful time, when all there was was poetry and love and friendship. Beautiful write Nessa, absolutely perfection. Loved every word of it.

nicely written - it would be nice to have everyone enjoy the site and each other's friendship whether they are old or new members - Mick has put so much work into creating this place for poets, we should show our appreciation by respecting each other and helping the site grow. Great write Nessa!

I'm not an original member, but I've been here three years (long before the old site left *sigh*) and I totally feel what your saying... with all who leave a piece of YPDC goes too... and it's sad...

Great poem... if words could inspire... but I came back so maybe they will to...

I have been a member since 4/30/04 and I think this site is great, so much so that I joined as a premium member. This has been a good place to get an honest assessment of my writing ability before trying to go public as a song writer, but even if that happens I will continue to post poems and songs on this site and support it how ever I can.

Im not an original member, only maybe 8 months for me, for i only discovered my 'talent' then, but i have come to love ypdc and the people that come with it, i feel more apart of it with every write i make, maybe someday i shall become more recognised as a writer on this site and be able to feel even more apart of the family, but for now, ill just writing my writes, comment on others and keep adding to that big heart

Beautiful write nessa, the words were perfect, as always

Luke

Well this is pretty timeless...We all come back eventually.
It is hard to leave for too long, as this is both a happy place, and a great spot to dump out our emotional baggage. ;)
