Array ( [sid] => 46448 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Rain Drops Drip [time] => 2004-05-06 20:02:45 [hometext] => Thought of this poem as I was walking home from the bus stop. I never know what my poems topics should be. The poems just come to me. [bodytext] => Drip, drip, drip
I look out my window
I watch as the rain slither down my window like a snake would slither along the ground
The clouds look as dark as a black hole
Lightning flashes, thunder crashes
It comes closer and closer

Drip, drip, drip
Watching the rain is calming, hypnotic
It starts off with a drip here
I put on my jacket and bag
I walk to the bus stop
I gotta get home before it pours
A drip here, a drip there

Drip, drip, drip
You walk along the sidewalk in your own world
Not paying attention to were your going or whats around
Soon you find yourself in a down-pour
You look up and wonder how you got to this point

Drip, drip, drip
You walk along in your own little world
You put your jacket over your head
But the bag's in the way
So your head's half covered
Not paying attention to were your going
Not paying attention to whats around
The rain makes you ponder about life and friends

Drip, drip, drip
The rain is so beautiful,
You stop and stare
It washes away the old
And makes way for the new

Drip, drip, drip
Kids are playing in the puddles
Parents trying to hurry them up
They don't want them catching a cold
Your not in any hurry
It feels like time has stopped
A calm has come over your mind
You feel at peace with the world and yourself
Cherish these moments, they come so infrequently
You're home, the dream goes away [comments] => 2 [counter] => 292 [topic] => 19 [informant] => StoneAngel [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 0 [associated] => 27- [topicname] => InspirationalPoems )
