I would take this friend down to the creek in the park. We would sit and listen to the water as it gently trickles down the many rocks. And just think how nice it is to sit here with this friend just enjoying all the beautiful things the park has to offer. Then after a time we would get up and walk down a winding path through a wooded area to a large pond and when we get there we would get some bird seed and toss small handfuls out to the waiting ducks who eagerly eat up all the bird seed we have. And after a time of the simple wonders, and as the sunsets we would get up and slowly head back to the car where we would sit and enjoy the sunset. We leave this park with a answer we did not know we were looking for. That it is the simple things that matter. And so we end the first day of a long and wonderful spring. Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
