As raindrops poured from the clouds on high
The lightning made me titter with glee
All through my euphoric jubilee
My face turned toward the heavens above
As God sent rainfall amongst His love
My soul was light, and my spirit free
The cloudburst is my soul’s therapy
I can’t refrain from the storm’s sweet song
For in my heart is where rain belongs
I dance and I let my bare feet soar
Always laughing and begging for more
When forced inside, through windows I watch
As my heart adds a nick and a notch
A notch for pain of being inside
As thunder splits the sky open wide
The extra nick for my elation
Fashioned from such a wild sensation
I cannot sleep for fear I could miss
A flash of lightning’s energized bliss
Nevertheless, sleep comes in a while
I dream of rain that makes my soul smile
Quite a nebulous experience
A marvelous feeling - so intense [comments] => 5 [counter] => 188 [topic] => 27 [informant] => liquidsunshine [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 20 [ratings] => 4 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => NaturePoetry )

You're a lot like me with thunderstorms and the comfort it brings to you. Those are my favorite times and I long to have more of them here(sadly we don't have many). And I find myself relating much with you not only through thunderstorms but with the love you have towards God and all things such.May your heart always shine,
PumpkinPie

The part I love the most is the smell of the wet earth after the first rain in a long time.... Yah, you dreamer, you!
Take care.
