In that brief, necessary – truly, forlorn- instant
There in the dark,
Between consciousness and sleep
I am still and quiet
My mind runs wild and free

Listening so
To hear the truth
Still
and
Quiet
Mute for now
With thoughts swirling
Wild
and
Free

The details are of little consequence to me
When the lonesome ending of the day
Creeps up to me
Lingering in the moment
I am still and quiet
My mind runs wild and free

Beautiful. Its quite deep and written to perfection, as yours always are. I like how you set it out too but my favourite bit would have to be the first two lines.

Take Care

Reminds me of a recent conversation I had...
It makes me wonder about the difference between ..being alone vs standing alone...both either with ..or without someone....
