Array ( [sid] => 48671 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Do I Take The Chance? [time] => 2004-05-22 13:53:59 [hometext] => Have any of you taken the chance? [bodytext] => A book of poetry I picked up from somewhere, why did I choose this one?
Opening the pages I was immediately drawn into the words, Images filtered into my mind and I read on, consumed with the need to continue...I became lost in the pages.

The titles were seductive and gentle, tender with emotions leaping from them, finding my heart in a way it had not been touched in many years. With much hesitation, I lay it down....still it burned in my mind.

I needed to know more, feel more, but how could I do this? Who was the author of these words that seemed to be reaching for me across the distance of many miles?

By mornings light I knew that I must find her, tell her and ask....do we take the chance, the chance of knowing each other and sharing these words together?

But first, I have to seach for the hand that held the pen, writing the words that captured my heart. Is she only lying between the pages of a book, or smiling only in tender verse? Are her tears the small blots that appear at times as ink spots, does her heart beat in reality or only resound in the titles of her verse?

This I must know...yes, I must take the chance.

Splendid story-telling quality.
Beautiful, flowing rhythm.
Bravo, encore!

By all means, moving words are wonders of the soul, and to share such words, is a gift from one who reaches out, out stretched hand to all.

Take the chance, you have but to reach.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
