blood drippin’ from my wrists
scares engraving on my fists
flashes of my skin being nailed to wood
flashing images of a skeleton in a hood
he’s holding an hour glass and saying tick tock
I’m only 6 years old how could time run out on my clock?

my spine is twisted in a knot
so bad I cannot stand or walk
cancer is eating alive my brain
doctors say 2 more months and I’ll be insane
I feel like thorns are wrapped around my head
and nails are piercing my back as I lay in bed

what did I do to deserve this I’m so young
how could something happen to an only son
my mom cannot have kids anymore
I tore apart her tummy I left blisters and sores

a falling star is on my rosey red cheek
tho its upside down I’m sure it’ll grant my wish this week
a man in black with a white collar saw me today
he said God hated me and I should be in my grave

there are these voices in the back of my head
they say many bad words and that I need to be dead
they tell me to touch myself tho my privates are scarred
uncle Roy did that after he came home late from a bar

I heard a story about an invisible man named Christ
no matter the problem he always made it right
so I asked him for the preacher to stop hitting me with a belt
then a voice from the shadows said 'your far beyond his help'

so now I turn to my fathers wisdom and charm
he can always help me when he’s not sticking needles in his arm
so when it got late and I started to bleed
I crawled over to him and asked 'daddy, why does god hate me?'
and he said

boy let me tell you, you don’t fit in his plan
he doesn’t have use for you, you fell from his hand
if he ever needed a cripple he’d shoot the rich in the spine
you are just meant to crawl and die, speaking of which, its bedtime
now I pick you up and hook you up to the wires that kill your living cells
now I tuck you in and say goodnight now say your prayers and go to hell [comments] => 8 [counter] => 194 [topic] => 13 [informant] => Vermillion [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 20 [ratings] => 4 [editpoem] => 0 [associated] => [topicname] => DarkPoetry )

You are the equivalent of what i love about independent movies, like forcing to face the things the darker side of human nature, but in a sympathetic light. So breathtaking.

god, those images, they are ones so similar to ones i have had... that he's six really really makes this poem perfect and brings everything about how horrible people can be. they act this way to a six year old, and they act this way to others too. it's sick that they do. you made a very good point. awesome job as always.
