"FLYING FISH TO FRY"

Watercolor painting I relished for many a year.
Mountains sprinkled with Aspen and pine.
Streams tumbling, raging, rushing, thirsty deer.
Frisky trout leaping for flies, intrigued porcupine.

Hungry Brookie Trout flies to the surface for a redfly.
Spectacular sight, fresh water fish, delectable mountain fry.
Filet to remove the bones, coat with dry instant potatoes.
Big Black Iron Skillet o'r campfire, cleanest mountain airflow.

Surrounded with God's scenery as your kitchen.
Flames intense, rise high, slight breeze of smoke, dark ashen.
Delicious filet meat of trout, your dessert for a hard day's work.
Sun falls behind your mountain, your sleeping bag calls,
Up Early tomorrow.....more legwork.

Rising early before the sun shows, chilly, grab your coat!
Exquisite delight of peace, distant lone cry of a coyote.
Cowboy coffee, grounds dumped in hot water and boiled.
Drink scalding hot, warms your toes, tongue's par broiled!

Breaking camp, as clouds lift skyward.
A troubled heart now tranguil, worries are gone, so too, discord.
Comforting arms are His Majestic Mountains.
Fishing, camping, silence, and peace, refreshes humans!

Return to mountains built by man, back to the old grind.
Dealing with people, different attitudes, stress lined.
Around the bend, hesitate, meditate, one last view.
Strength from Thunder Mountain, back to the city for you!

AHHHHH! The picture you painted with words only matches the beautiful paintings you posted!! Fishing is my xanax! I haven't been able to go in 4 years and I need a trip so badly! I only catch and release, though. But the rest is ecstasy!! Living in Mi. I have my choice of lakes and streams but not the beauty that you have written about. Truely a masterpiece!!

Stop it , STOP IT!! You've got me drooling for pan fried trout and forest musrooms, babbling brooks and the mixed scents of forest and wood-smoke, for that majestic scenery and that ever changing God's palette that we call the sky. Please sponsor me to your slice of paradise, this place called Wyo-ming.

A wonderful... wonderful poem... makes me wish I were already there... one thing though... I can do without the "cowboy coffee"... ugh... I don't drink coffee... it would have to be something else for me lol
U paint a very picturesque scene with ur words and the beautiful paintings... I loved it!!!
Thanks for a moment of pure joy... I could almost feel the wate and the breeze.
