Sometimes, I find myself slipping away
In the middle of the afternoon
To have a passionate love affair
I run to a secret rendevous
This man I meet is my dream come true
He's warm and sweet and loving
He cares for me deeply, not like you
So, I run to my secret rendevous
He makes me smile, he makes me blush
And loves me from top to bottom (eek)
His kisses and caresses make me blush
When I run to my secret rendevous
I yearn to be with him all the time
But I can't 'cause I'm with you
So I get with him whenever I can
When I run to my secret rendevous
I find myself a quiet spot
Somewhere I won't be disturbed
And drift away to my dreams of you
My husband, in my secret rendevous
It's you I long to be with
Your touch I ache for most
At a time when we were crazy in love
So, I slip away to my secret rendevous

A secret rendezvous is something that most people dream about. You gave it a nice touch with your husband at the ending.Good solid poem full marks.

This poem is so neat........we all have our little secrets.......and places secure where we can go without really being there. I loved the surprize in your poem......made it really come alive. Made me think......
