Picking up shells as we go
Our eyes meeting so tenderly
Oh how our love does show

A smile here, a smile there
While leaving footprints in the sand
And ever so occasionally even
Those made from our hands

We pause to watch the waves roll in
And while it ebbs away
A picturesque scene, this does make
For us on this special day

And so we walk along the beach today
Picking up shells as we go
Just my 4 children and myself
And the love there that does show…

The Beach! Another one of my
favorite topics, Beautiful oh how
the sunrise sets rays, Beautiful how
the sunset ends the day! I'd love to
walk on the beach like that, this
took me to a beautiful place
with beautiful vision! It brought
tears to my eyes with the beauty
you have written here.

Hello Mick:

Nice to meet you.. This is Raquel Leah.

I like your poem.. It is very very nice. I am very fond of the beach.. ocean..

I wrote my name in sand once, with my feet.. I was so tired by the time I finished lol.

That same day. there was this funeral.. I must write about it one of these days.. how the flowers waved and waded in the waters, waiting for the big waves to take it out.. with the ashes..

Thank you for allowing us to place our pictures on this site.. however, I had to crop mine so much, it is so very small.. I noticed the other pics showed up much larger.. is there a trick to it.. my pixels are way higher than those specified.. Let me know if you can.. thank very much..

I like your picture of you and your family.. it is a very happy picture..

Yours truly,

Raquel Leah (Poetess) ; ))
