[bodytext] => As I cry out in the night will one person hear? Will one person see that I have no fears? The color of ones skin isn’t important to me For the blind know no color yet the world I can see I can smell the fresh air on a cold winter day I hear the laughter of the voices of my loved ones so dear I can feel the softness of pestles on the flowers I grow I can hear the birds singing and the wind that blows I hear the drums in the distance I hear what they say The great spirits are with you they will guide you each day As I walk the path in darkness im glad that I am free For the blind know no color because they can’t see When people ask don’t you wish this world you could see? My reply has and will always be No thank you For this world full of color prejudice I don’t want to see Now Close your eyes and enter my world Isn’t it amazing why colors don’t matter to me Written by Dorothy Calvert Copyrights© [comments] => 3 [counter] => 150 [topic] => 40 [informant] => freespirit [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 4 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => fantasy )
