He gives me more and you give me less,
He loves, comforts and releases me,
Where as you kept hold and wouldn’t let me go free.

He talks to me and holds me tight,
Doesn’t make me depressed and taunts me at night,
His words wrap around me like a cover,
He is caring and shows compassion like a lover.

I spent too long with you by my side,
I wanted you to go, I felt I had to hide,
You stopped me from smiling and feeling good,
Not encourage me and help me like a real friend would.

This friend is a friend I can trust,
As I know his kindness wont turn into dust,
He has already shown me so much in a short time lapse,
His hand is extended and I know I’m in his grasp.

True friends are so very hard to find,
Now he and I are locked in a bind,
I am now free from all my feelings of madness,
Hello present love and goodbye to my ex……. Sadness.

Wow, This is one of the best poems I've read in along time. The way you personified happiness and sadness was very good....
Loved this immensely..
