The Irish sun is burning
Its rays bleed into the sky
Before a brotherhood of hiding stars
Evening lovers gather nigh.

A Celtic sunset is a warning
Of something awesome in the air
Of the worst of life and the best of it
Of friends and family drawing near.

This is excellent, Elena. I do enjoy the notion of sunset and sunrise/summerfest o'er the shores of the Americas.

You did yourself proud on this one.
It was absolutely beautiful in imagery, and all other ways too!
Brilliant poetess' can paint sunsets with words that you can see in your mind's eye!

Beautiful! You did a wonderful job. I loved it. I love watching the sun go down and hide behind this big hill side behind my house. It's so calming. I liked this poem for the life that you gave to it. You made me feel like I was there. I also like this poem because I'm mostly Irish! Keep up the good work. Hope to hear more.

Oh, Elena - I want to pack my things and put myself on a plane. Pictures of Ireland always seem to call to me... this poem does the very same thing. Lovely write!

I absolutely adore the sunrise and sunset.
