and numbly irritated.
Who are you and what do you want
From me who is lost
and no longer longing to be found
by the likes of you.
Or anyone who is not me, myself, or I
for that matter.
Leave me.
For I will ensnare your soul
in my web of love and social chaos.
As I shape my ever changing self.
Be gone and become another fading thought
in my stinging memory.
I beg you to leave.
I am not who you think I am.
I will destroy you from the inside out,
if you do not heed the warnings of my unconscious.
I am blind to myself.
And scared from the falling bloody knife,
escaping my right hand.
Bleeding thoughts of yesterday. [comments] => 3 [counter] => 148 [topic] => 13 [informant] => Drowning-in-light [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 8 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 0 [associated] => [topicname] => DarkPoetry )

A very intriguing read! This is a perfect example of the struggle within. I think you wrote this excellently! Kudos!

Nicely done, D-i-L! I'm a huge fan of poems that come from the inside out (rather than the other way around). This poem is obviously one of those! Well done! Keep writing!
