Perhaps it was my flame
It burned for many hours despite all of the rain

It danced and galloped freely
It melted harden hearts
Its smoke drifted very far from here
but yet it did not part

It had a burning of desire
yet fought away my fears
it took away my petty worries that had gathered all these years

It made my cheeks all rosy
and provided such a glow
That even on the darkest days it showed me a rainbow

I watched for many hours
I then watched for many days
Praying that my flame would not be taken by the rain

Its still burning at this moment
I hope that your flame is burning too
and if your flame has vanished
I'll share my flame with you!

Hey sweet pea. I do agree with you. We all need a little flame buring all the time that is ready to flare when needed. Without our flame we get too complacent and forget our usefulness to the rest of the world. This is a great write. I am so proud of you.

Hugs sweetie,
Rita

This really hit the spot today. I love to hear about this hope that I often forget, especially in a writing such as this. Thank you for this magnificent piece.

Thanks for that. You know i'm sat in the library using a public computer and it's blowing a gale outside, and i was just getting annoyed with myself for not wearing a coat. Now after reading your poem it doesn't seem to matter anymore. A beautiful piece of work.
