Array ( [sid] => 52110 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => You Love Me.... [time] => 2004-06-15 17:08:15 [hometext] => This is written for my mother... I told her a little of how I feel and this is what came of it...... [bodytext] => I thought that if you said you love me,
All of my hurts would disappear.
And though my tears won free,
I still stand by this broken mirror.

You say you love my beautiful smile,
My laugh and my sense of humor.
Those things are gone, rotting in exile,
My childhood has become my tumor.

You made me cry real tears,
They streaked down my face.
Twisted with all my fears,
Finding me in my hiding place.

They confirm what I already knew,
Now I know you don't understand.
You have three daughters, but worry about two,
I wonder why I always felt scammed.

To you, I was always 'okay',
I slit my wrist, you doctored my 'rash',
I lived. But day by day,
My soul rips with the weight of this gash.

Your words now seem so hollow,
Now that I confront you.
You can lead, but I won't follow,
So you say you love me... is it true?

At one time I felt that way about my Mom too. I took time and got to know her before she passed away. I am grateful that i did and I hope you do the same.

Jaime, your poem is well written but I am concerned about the feelings in it. Don't turn away from her. Could it be that maybe you are the more dependable trustworthy one that she doesn't have to worry about so much? I am just asking because I had one son I had to keep a close eye on and worry about and the other son I didn't have to. The one I didn't worry so much about thought I cared more for the other one, which was not true and he realized that later when we had a long talk about it. That may not be your case but don't pull away. We always need our mothers and when they are gone it is too late to make amends. Hugs, Rita

Wow, I'm sure she loves you Jaime, it would be impossible not too, you're a lovable girl. *pouts* I hate to read poems of you down, one day i'll just have to hug you for all the times in which I couldn't... I'll have to start a tally *grins*

As for a poem, bravo mi'dear, truly breathtaking.

You sis
