[bodytext] => Climb up the hillside without pity or remorse Under your shoes lie your five-toed horse. Through the daisies and lilac and fields of green The top, the pinnacle is all but foreseen. Can’t understand what will become of me on this hill Poke through a rift now, to join up with Jack and Jill. Ain’t breakin’ till I reach the top Going nowhere but up, right past the sheep who yells “Stop!” But what does he know? He’s never seen the light From the top of the hillside, evaporates all contrite. Must reach my goal now, no ifs, ands or buts For a failure to reach the apex results in wasted toil and disgust. Hop over the river and tread past the wood Would love Grandma to join me if only she could For high above the hillside she has already stood With flowers in one hand, the other clutching her favorite book.
