I hear the sounds that you dont hear
I see the faces you dont see
Im haunted by the things that youll never know
Im dying of the things Ill never tell you
I hear every noise possible that comes from behind
I see a million eyes watching me in the dark
Im followed around by all my sadistic horrors
Im killing myself with all my meaningless fears
My ears pick up every rustle and snap
My eyes imagine all the terrors I don't see in the shadows
My imagination stalks me with a bloody knife
My hands threaten to choke me while I sleep
My eardrums ring loudly in the sullen silence
My eyes play tricks and see you there
My mind wonders if youve come for me
My heart knows that youll never rescue me from my nightmares

| I came to read your poems because I was intriged by your screen name. Thought a name like that probably writes pretty well - and this one proves it. It is awesome.It's dark and funny, witty and wise. "My imagination stalks me with a bloody knife" is my favorite line..."my mind wanders if you've come for me" is another. Truly great write...so glad I looked! |
