Taking pieces of each others hearts & feelings
I'll admit it's been 2 years 5 months too many
Since I found someone who made me feel full not empty
I replay good times over and over in my head
It makes me feel safe, buried underneath the covers of my bed
The tone of your voice is soft tonight
I'm at an all time high, wanting you so bad I might
Act like nothing else exists but me and you
Under the watchfull eye of a brand-new moon
I'll hold you in my arms tight & you wont resist
It will be the perfect setting for our first kiss
This moment I will treasure for it's only true meaning
I'd rather die than wake up & realize I've been dreaming
My mind is stubborn & believes it's too soon to love again
But my heart beats faster with just the mention of your name
True love has no rules & can be found anywhere
Even the second time around, given a perfect pair. Very sweet poem! I wish you the best of luck. I loved the wording of your poem especially the last part when you wrote "True love has no rules and can be found anywhere Even the second time around, given a perfect pair" That is so true!

Oh - the feeling of emptiness is all too familiar, but the feeling of safety and warmth is enough to erase all memories of that emptiness. Soul mates, perhaps? Lovely write. Thank you, and good luck!
