Array ( [sid] => 53538 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Letting Go [time] => 2004-06-24 16:01:06 [hometext] => I have been posting on this site for awhile but most of my poems were depressing and always about one person. This is my way of letting them go. Like the poem says I have a new life now and I cannot dwell on the past. [bodytext] => Letting go has been so hard on me
It's just one of those things you have to do to be free
I have a new man and a baby on the way
And saying goodbye is the hardest thing I've had to say

I refuse to cry like I use to for you
Refuse to let you control me like only you could do
Tears of joy are the only thing raining from my eyes
Starting over is hell but I'm ready for this new life

You won't be forgotten I'm sure of this
Just tucked away in my heart's darkest abyss
I will think of you from time to time I know
This time with a smile instead of tears though

What we shared was truly awesome in it's splendor
But to those memories I no longer surrender
So fly, fly from me and do it fast
The new memories are coming to replace those of the past [comments] => 4 [counter] => 264 [topic] => 52 [informant] => Suzy [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 14 [ratings] => 3 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => goodbyepoetry )

Darkness is apart of us all. it is what makes us human. Yes love and live in the futcher. Just don't lose the twist you have on depressing things. It frees us to wright it at times. Best of luck. and if this is the last depressing one you wright then it was excellent. and I am honored to have read it. But hey maybe i'm wrong on the dark side of things.
I am a shadow dark as night, damned to die in the dawns first light

Take care and this was an excellent wright!

I am so happy for you. It takes a lot of strength to move forward and apparently you found it. Congratulations on the new life and the new baby coming.

Smiles
Rita
