Fair dinkum Aussie fairies live in the scrub
Jumbuck, Wattle, Shyann , Bluey & Little Bub
All freckled faced and wearing corked hats
happily riding butterflies and winged gnats
Dipping and gliding in out of spotted gum trees
Into the cool river splashing and diving with ease
On hot summer nights dressed in singlets and thongs
Sitting round the camp fire singing Aussie bush songs

Aussie fairies have sun burnt faces and tanned skin
Sparkling brown and blue eyes and a big Aussie grin
Surfing on gumleaf surfboards in the silvery moonlight
Living by shady rippling creeks and just out of sight
Their mates are platypuses and possums and wallabies
Riding hopping kangaroos falling off skinning their knees
flying in and out of gum trees teasing furry koala bears
Chasing Emus for fun and finding dingo pups in dark lairs

Aussie Fairies with mischief and magic wands to delight
Chasing biting mosquitos away from children on a hot night
Making magic dreams of white cockatoos telling fairy tales
Fairies riding dolphins and swimming with humpback whales
Nursing Bilby babies with big eyes, and sleeping bumble bees
Of Aussie fairy magicians training a circus of performing fleas
At midnight in the fairy ring Elves swinging in dancing flight
Floating moon shadows in the gold and silvery rays of starlight

It is all true
Aussie Fairies Are true blue.
