Array ( [sid] => 54003 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Copycat [time] => 2004-06-28 12:36:27 [hometext] => This poem is dedicated to the person who has been copying my poetry and posting them on another site........as you can imagine I am understandibly very angry! [bodytext] => Now please will you take off my hat ,
You’re just a fake, a copycat,
Stealing my poems, pretending to be me,
I am the one & only why can’t you see?

You can admire my work, that’s all good,
But don’t ever steal from me is that understood?
My work is precious & comes from the heart,
Why didn’t you tell people you lied from the start.

To take somebody else’s poems,
Behind their backs & without them knowing,
Is very sly, devious & morally wrong,
There are by me, that’s where they belong.

Not with you, a liar a fake,
***** me off was your biggest mistake,
How dare you go on claiming they are yours?
Can’t you understand what copyright stands for?

Stealing is wrong & not the way to go,
I thought I’d write this so people would know,
It’s a good job for you I don’t know your name,
I would shout it from the roof, put you to shame.

Have you no talent of your own,
You are a liar that much you have shown,
To me & all else who read MY work,
Let’s just hope from this a lesson you’ve learnt.

Not only is it evil, it is illegal. I do know you should contact the webmaster of the other site and tell him the name of his user and what poems are in question. He/she would appreciate it as it puts them in a bind also. Mick will help you out with more details, I am sure.

PIXIE... First of all, this is an amazing poem. I couldnt have said it any better myself. Secondly, what site is it on? And the user name? Cause I have had my poetry stolen as well and it's been submitted on the site DeviousArt.com by the same person on a number of occassions. I'm just curious cause I could maybe help you get what it's rightfully yours. PM me with the details and I'll help you track it down. It's a shame people feel they aren't good enough that they should steal someone else's heart and soul. Cause thats what it is right? So let's get this person. Put them in the spotlight and embarrass the heck out of them. You in? :) *evil grin*

Oh, the nerve!!!!
I cant believe someone would be so ruthless to do that.
Stealing poetry is not only illegal, as Rita mentioned, but its like stealing a fragment of a poets emotions and thoughts!
Yes, you should definitely do something about this.
