Black and White
Circa 1950
An endless fight

See the bombs go boom
But somehow no blood
See the simple solutions
Our guys only good

A mind in two dimensions
The B-Movie mind
No complex extensions
Sense hard to find

Plenty of certainty
Easy then to kill
When you feel the perfect right
Stemming from your will

Simple solutions to complex problems
Will only end in pain
Not for those causing them of course
They havn’t got the brain

Dynamic words
They always sound so sure
Sexy vote catchers
A verbal manure

Spread it on real thick
And see the knee-jerks go
Beat your chest and demonise
Nothing lost with bravado

Nothing lost but others lives
Surely a small price to pay
When your rep goes sky high
The more innocents you slay

Take a look at Bush
Take a good long look
We have seen his kind before
Fifties - Republican - Kook

He is all guns and fear
All paranoid noise
A B-Movie character
With military toys

How he loves to preen and strut
Saying all is very simple
Well it is you know
It’s very true
When your brain
Is but a pimple

We have seen them
Oh so many times before
But now with 9/11 they have
A NEW tool to wipe the floor

Now is their chance
To turn our world
To the fantasy in their mind
With their B-Movie mentality
And careless illegality

-The End -

Of Humankind
