[title] => Villanelle = The Grand Maple Trees

[hometext] =>
[bodytext] => In the wavering leaves of the grand maple trees. Is the signal to all that the seasons must change, And is carried aloft on the slightly cooled breeze. While the squirrel gathers nuts as he tries try to appease. He wonders at the colours so brilliant and strange. In the wavering leaves of the grand maple trees. The goose that is home, feels the fall start to tease. As she stretches her wings she is testing her range. And is carried aloft on the slightly cooled breeze. And the wind dances light like a slight gentle sneeze Its truth is now hidden away by the change. In the wavering leaves of the grand maple trees. It’s a shedding of old as the world seems to breathe As the new becomes old it begins to exchange, And is carried aloft on the slightly cooled breeze. And at last, in the end, fall is brought to its knees. As the snows of the winter, themselves now arrange. In the wavering leaves of the grand maple trees. And is carried aloft on the slightly cooled breeze.
