he's breaking inside
and heaven knows i've tried
to love him the way you do
but i can't
'cause i'm not you
and it's killing him
the innocent party
caught up in our misery
a secret we've kept
yet you don't even know me
they talk about me
and you listen carefully
and you know they talk about you too
it kills me inside
the things you do
because you hurt him on purpose
and gave yourself so easily
and sometimes i wish i would just die
and spare my love this pain inside
i should come with a warning
just like a gun
press the trigger
and your world comes undone
