Lightning forked a charged rod flaring out as it smashed the soil, Others lash at tall buildings like a huge charged coil. Rain battered down so thick it oozed like oil. For as I walked others long before have trod, Arcane mystery pulsed through my mystic rod. Natures power never spent, Only mans destruction has changed the deep down things, Global warming evident as I went. So many species cherish no more lakes and springs, I’m sure this is not what our ancestor’s meant. Birds less evident no sweat melodic ring, A scar spreading gradually wider. I wander through a world so fragile and prone, As the earth’s core cried inside her.
