Caused my tears, all shed in vain
Many promises untrue
And still I’d give my life for you

But it seems you think it’s all ok
Forgetting all that we have made
Still I burn inside today
Cuz I have yet to stop the pain

All this pain it seems so wrong
Im just trying to stay strong,
Remember all the things you said
Your voice it echoes in my head

All the girls that try to play
All the drugs doctors prescribe
All the advice that my friends gave
Can not heal what has torn inside;

Sometimes it seems your having fun
Like you think its all a joke
I really thought you were the one
Blood still drips from the heart you broke;

As I hold you this last time
I feel your heart, no longer mine
How am I to deal with this
I taste the tears still on your lips

From this I’m supposed to gain
Wisdom only born from pain
Excuses only made to hide
How I really feel inside

For too long it’s been this way
Still I’m standing in dismay
Can not change the way I feel
Answered with the cold of steel

When my tears can fall no more
When I have no more pride to break,
I pick myself up off the floor
And through these words my pain escapes [comments] => 2 [counter] => 152 [topic] => 22 [informant] => Steven [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LostLove )

You have expressed your feelings well here..I love this stanza:

"From this I’m supposed to gain
Wisdom only born from pain
Excuses only made to hide
How I really feel inside"
