I heard you say no
but listen I did not
you pushed me away after
all I could do was look away
sad and angry at myself I lay on the floor
I didn't say goodnight as you walked out
forgiveness is now all that I ask of you
for me doing the one thing I said I wouldn't
but look at me now, a hypocrite on his knees
I sit at your feet, begging for your acceptance
but that will have to be another time
until you give an answer I will lay hopelessly in my bed
I will try to hold back the tears of regret and hate
and try my damnedest to not hurt myself
though with how I feel I'll most likely fail
but just know this one thing
I only hurt myself to make up for what I've done
as I hurt I feel the tears forming in my eyes
so hard do I try to keep them back
but sadness gets it's way and the tears fall to the floor
I scream I'm so sorry as a puddle forms on the ground
for once again I have hurt the one I love
I sit by the phone awaiting your call
but that will have to be another time
