An unspoken truth
Unwanted emotions
Words left unsaid

Dried out tears left on my cheeks
Eyes red and dry, I am all drained out, all the tears have been cried
A hidden smile has been lost in the sadness
An empty heart since you’ve been gone

The words were never spoken
But a love so pure was there
Love showed thru actions rather than words
A love to wonderful to explain

A jealous eye, a lover’s heart
I know you loved me once upon a time
The way you held me, the way we kissed
Wouldn’t have had so much passion and care if you felt nothing

So why did you never say those words?
Why did you never tell me to my face?
Instead you left me here to think you never loved me
When deep down I know that was the truth

We had a fairytale love
So perfect, too good to be true
But we never got our happily ever after
You messed that up the day you said goodbye

Yet, I still sit here waiting
Hoping you will realize what you lost
Hoping you will come running after me
Hoping we can have our happily ever after ending still

You stole my heart once
You haven’t given it back, nor do I want you to
You can have my heart, if I can have yours
So we can get our fairytale love back

I wish so much to have you back in my life, so I can feel complete once more
I wish things could go back to how they were
How we lived in our own world
Happy, carefree among the clouds

How our love used to thrive
It wasn’t all make believe
It was so very real
Once upon a dream can happen
I loved you so much

Now I’m just waiting for my fairytale ending to come true!

A sad write. I wish every one could have a fairytale ending. Very nicely expressed.

So sad, but so beautiful. Great emotion, and wonderful description.

Thanks for commenting on my stuff. Now I'm returning the favor. I thought this was great. Very heartfelt and written perfectly. Can't say it's ever happened to me but it sure struck a chord when I read it!
Whenever you want someone to comment on your stuff, I'd be happy to.

hmmm...I think it's more behind it...i like your poem, for me it feels as if u put all sadness and all longing in it...i can't explain what it make me feel like...sad is the wrong word cuz it's more than sadness...

very special and deep poem
