Cries a sea of diamond tears,
In her hair she wears a crown,
Dressed in a silk flowing gown.

Her tiny hands clutch her wand,
Her hair the colour of shimmering blond,
Sapphires sit inside her eyes,
As she watches the dancing fireflies.

Her wings like sheets of crystal,
Her skin like soft, peach pastel,
Lips like the colour of a May rose,
Silver varnish on her petite’ toes.

She is of such a delicate frame,
No-one in the land knows of her pain,
Her heart has lost it’s rhythm,
She holds the pain she has been given.

A platinum band around her finger,
A memory lost, but still it lingers,
She dearly misses the love of her life,
She has raw memories of once being a wife.

Why did it have to happen to her,
Now loneliness will forever stir,
Inside her body, mind & soul,
Her dreams are now the colour of coal.

Ah, beautiful poem. I can relate well to her pain inside. She is a beauty and you described her well. Your imagery was perfect.

Smiles,
Rita
