Rain falls on snow
A rope hangs
Razor glistens -
What happened to hope?

Why is the world so beautiful?
Why does my mind
Taint it all dark black?
Dark, dark black.

Bloodiest colour is black,
Black as the night falls
On a pure horizon;
Black as ink
On a fresh page.

Why does courage not come?
Why too scared to die?

A selfless act for
A selfless cause -
Blood is not so hard to clean up.

Life seems good, golden, white, silver
But my mind is tainted
Like red stains turned brown
On a flannel hand towel.

Reason? There is no reason.
Do we even exist outside
Our invincible imaginations?

Tears no longer fall -
Replaced so easily
Red drips of tainted mercy.
