Even in fragile condition ponders this man,
His mind, however tired, forever dreams,
Blinding insanity conjures vengeful plan,
Bloodshed seems the only way,
Escaping this facility is the next step,
Too much time has passed to make them pay,
And from white sheet bed - shattered man lept,

Wires, tubes, and machinery bind him to the room - away from greenary. Milky eyes strain again to see, the quickest way out - the fastest way free. Down the hall and past the desk - screams to reclaim as gaurds manifest, the best way out his mind would suggest - is out the window and hope for the best. Shattered man lept, shattered man fell - into the back of a truck away from white walled hell. Bloodshed again, bloodshed begun - hot wiring the truck and peering setting sun, he broke through the gates, fun small block chevy for shattered man's run.

Six more miles till he gets to the town,
A few minutes - peering upon sinner's split crown,
A murder will be murdered pound for pound,
Smelling thier sinful stench even now,

Haste laid waste to a truck that gave into a mad man's pace - as a deer outranking steer reset his place. Head over heal detroit flipped, sixty miles per hour tripped and skipped into gloomy swamp twisted metal dipped. Seat belt released - man nearly deceased, he swam to solid ground so possesed he creeped up the hill and into the street - walking gave to jogging as he proceeded to meet...

When the day fades I weep for you,
I fear I will never see you in heaven,
Im not a good man, I didn't do enough,
I should have given my life for you,
Like you did for me every day, love,
If Im to goto hell, I won't wait...
Tireless, so tireless. I figure...
I am an archangel - the only angel I can be. [comments] => 2 [counter] => 150 [topic] => 13 [informant] => spiffyphil [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 8 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => DarkPoetry )

When the day fades I weep for you,
I fear I will never see you in heaven

Wonderfully cared sense of fear for ultimate loss. Though I do completely disagree with your personal assessments of "getting into heaven" (I am a "salvation" and not a "works" guy). Still I must say this was a great job. Well written, and emotionally deeply spiritual. I think you convey a great sense of our greatest fear "Losing someone and never seeing them again." Excellent!
