Array ( [sid] => 55689 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Gone but not forgotten [time] => 2004-07-11 04:15:01 [hometext] => loosing my grandma was one of the hardest parts in my life so i wrote a poem to share with my family and now showing all of you [bodytext] => its been almost a year now
but I still feel the pain
of when my grandma left me
a loss and not a gain
she got into an accident
we thought shed be okay
no one knew it was coming
her last and final day
I remember her smile
she was healthy as can be
I thought she would bounce right back
but I was blinded and couldn’t see
I remember when they told me
right before I went to school
I thought that I could handle it
walk around and play it cool
I went to the funeral
sat down and began to cry
I didn’t get why she had to go
now a part of me had died
I talk to her at night
and tell her how much I care
even though I cant see her
I know she is still there [comments] => 4 [counter] => 226 [topic] => 39 [informant] => mlcarter369 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 0 [associated] => [topicname] => Grief )

That is how I feel about my dad, it's been 19 years since he's passed away. This is beautifully written. Thanks

This poem is really really good. I also thought that my grandpa would survive but didn't. My poem is the same title as yours and it is about my grandpa.
