of things I'd like to do before I go.
Take a trip on the vast high sea,
build another treehouse in the apple tree.
Take my cut-out dolls, dress them in style,
sit on a back porch, experience silence for a while.
Walk in the earth, feel the warmth between my toes,
smell the fragrance of wild flowers with my nose.
Dance to the Maypole in some country school yard,
walk a dirt lane until I'm so tired,
that sleep comes with the drop of my head
upon the pillow of an un-made bed.
Be an artist with fame to my name,
a store front showing my work in a frame.
Perhaps once again the woods I could walk,
with only the birds to whom I'd talk.
Wishfull thinking, memories written on a paper sheet,
then quickly slip away... quietly retreat,
to that place within that hides my desire,
but burns like an uncontrolable fire.

Great write I often sit on my deck in the morning sun and think back to days gone bye
when you get old all the good things you did in life seem like only yesterday
God Bless

June, this is such a wonderful write. And no you dont seem old at all.
Your poetry is written with exuberance and youth. :)
